The authors assessed the natural course of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) in 108 patients who were not treated with canalith repositioning procedure. The average number of days from onset to remission of positional vertigo in patients with posterior canal BPPV (P-BPPV) (39 days) was longer than in those with horizontal canal BPPV (H-BPPV) (16 days).
